Hear About the Sillehan Experience from Our Guests

We came as guests and left as friends. Mr. Habip and Mrs. Füsun are wonderful people. They hosted us so warmly. It didn’t feel like staying in a hotel  it felt like home. They are kind, friendly, and welcoming. We also met their grandchildren and daughter. They were all so warm and sincere. We truly left our hearts there. We will definitely come back.

A refined hotel that, with its historical textures, reminds us of our past, sheds light on our future, and most importantly, keeps our memories alive. With its friendly staff and courteous management, it is a true model that every hotel owner should aspire to.

Our rooms were spotlessly clean, the hospitality was amazing, the complimentary coffee, the ambiance of both the rooms and the hotel was incredible. Please, skip the ordinary hotels and come here — you'll be so glad you did! Mr. Habip and Mrs. Füsun were incredibly attentive, and everything — even down to breakfast — was perfect :)

Great top location in the listed town center of Sille - with private parking. Particularly noteworthy is the personal commitment of the hotel operator Habib!!!!! Habib speaks perfect German and really knows everything about the history of Sille and the surrounding area! Habib and his wife have spent many years bringing this listed gem back to life! An excellent breakfast typical of the country is served in the restaurant opposite - on a roof terrace with a wonderful view of Sille. For all those who are really interested in Turkey, its people and its culture, and want to experience this in a typical Turkish way in a historic building with the best host, this is the place to be!!!

What a wonderful hotel! Like staying in a museum of beautiful artifacts and art. The proprietor was super friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, right in the old town center with views of cave dwellings. Would absolutely stay here again.

This a truly unique hotel. It is beautiful inside and out. And our hosts were incredible and very knowledgeable if you are curious about history and if not, fun to talk to and share a coffee with in English or German. We absolutely loved our stay.

Cleanliness, the warm hospitality of the hotel owners, and the peaceful décor that carries traces of the past over time... Anyone who wants to escape the chaos of life and enjoy two cups of tea at a wooden table, under the clear stars, accompanied by Turkish folk songs, should definitely visit. The hotel is very close to the city center, yet far from its noise and crowds. Many thanks to the hotel owners for their kind treats, delightful conversations, and delicious desserts.

An incredible house in the equally incredible atmosphere of Sille. If you're passionate about restorations that stay true to the original spirit of historic homes, then this is exactly the right place for you. Instead of taking the easy way out, Habib Bey and his dear wife Füsun Hanım have patiently walked the challenging path of preservation, and we wholeheartedly applaud their contribution to our cultural heritage. Staying in such a museum-like house is a privilege in itself. On top of that, cleanliness and comfort are perfectly ensured—and the experience is crowned by an outstanding breakfast. During our trip together, Sillehan became one of the most unforgettable moments for my spouse and me—thanks to your delicious coffee, warm hospitality, and informative conversations.

Thank you for everything…

First, we should ask: what do people look for in places like this? Naturally, it's about reflecting the local culture and preserving the historical texture. What about service quality, cleanliness, etc.? Well, those are essential in any business, not just in a place like this. In terms of comfort, cleanliness, service quality, organization, and spaciousness—full marks from me. The flavor of the meals—full marks. The richness of the breakfast—full marks. I also pay special attention to tea. Brewing tea properly is truly a skill. You should be able to taste that distinct tea aroma with each sip—and at Sillehan, I give full marks for how they brew their tea. Likewise, the brown flatbread served at breakfast and dinner was delicious. As for accommodation, I found it extremely comfortable. The mansion is decorated in a way that’s faithful to its original character. The bathroom/WC was very clean. And let’s say you wake up late… there's no pressure about missing breakfast—you can still enjoy it at your pace. One more thing: I’ve stayed in many hotels, and almost all had issues with their TVs—channels were fuzzy or the signal was weak. At Sillehan, I checked this as well. The satellite signal reaches the rooms perfectly, and you can watch TV smoothly and clearly. Is that really important? In my opinion, yes—it shows attention to detail and a genuine care for customer satisfaction. Of course, you might be someone who never watches TV at all—but that’s not the point. On the business side, offering that service flawlessly is what matters. And in every respect, Sillehan clearly aims to satisfy guests in a way that truly deserves full marks.

We took our guests from Germany there for a meal. The venue is designed in line with its original form and has been restored in a historically authentic way, creating a vivid and easy-to-describe atmosphere for sharing your cultural heritage with foreign visitors. The food is amazing—especially the meat dishes, which are truly outstanding. The staff and the owners are very respectful, friendly, and attentive. It's definitely one of those refined places that should not be missed. A perfect spot where you can comfortably host your clients in a unique and memorable setting.

A wonderful hotel for those looking to spend quality time with their partner. The attic floor is perfect for cooling off in the evenings during these hot days—even to the point of feeling a chill. There's also a section facing the caves, which adds a truly romantic touch.

You know the saying, “Some things can’t be explained, only experienced”? Well, this hotel is exactly like that. Despite it being Ramadan, the owners and staff were always smiling and never once showed any sign of tiredness or frustration. They did everything they could to make sure we were happy—bless their hearts and efforts. Even for sahur (pre-dawn meal), they showed special care. Everywhere in the hotel, from floor to ceiling, is touched by wood—nothing feels artificial or out of place. Every detail reflects the Ottoman era. A high chair made of wood? Yes, it exists—and it works beautifully. The rooms, beds, pillows, and duvets were all top quality. And the folk songs? They truly fed the soul. In short—it’s a place that must be lived to be understood.

This place, the result of 9 years of dedicated work, is truly perfect in every way—the food, the service, the atmosphere... In a word: exceptional. I can confidently say that you won't regret coming here. It has the warm, welcoming feeling that a true boutique hotel should have—like being part of a family. One of the highlights is chatting with the owner, Mrs. Füsun. I highly recommend hearing the story of the place from her directly when you visit. And if you're from Konya, not having visited Sillehan would be a serious oversight. From now on, I can comfortably say that Sillehan is my second home. Thank you for designing such a place and offering it to us with such care and hospitality. If anyone wants to see what a real restoration looks like, they absolutely must stop by. P.S.: I’ve heard amazing things about the höşmerim dessert made by Mrs. Füsun—I’ll be sure to try it next time and share my thoughts with you all. I know I’ve gone on a bit, but I hope you’ll understand my excitement once you’ve been there. With my best regards…

My spouse and I were spending two days in Konya when we said, “Let’s go to Sille,” and that decision led us to you. When we arrived in Sille, we visited many places, but somehow our hearts guided us to you—and for that, we are truly grateful. Over those two days, we honestly lost count of how many times we returned to Konya just to come back again, drawn by your warm smiles and kind hospitality. On this occasion, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dear friends Yasin, Sevgi, and Ömer. If God allows, we are planning to stay at your hotel on our next visit. Until we meet again—farewell and may God be with you.

I went to the restaurant section for dinner, but I gave five stars for the effort and beauty invested in the guesthouse itself. It has undergone a very successful restoration and has regained its original appearance.

The restaurant is not bad, but it could be better—especially in terms of more authentically representing Konya cuisine.

Tarık Ç.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful—a true boutique hotel restaurant. I highly recommend it. Especially when it's snowing or raining, the authentic ambiance is simply amazing. If you ever find yourself in Sille, make sure to stop by!

Sille is a lovely village filled to the brim with history and an easy bus ride to the centre of Konya. Sillehan is the perfect place to stay in this area. The owner Habib and his wife were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome and the service from the other staff was excellent. Walking into this hotel is like stepping back in history – the attention to detail and interesting period feautures is testament to Habib and his wife’s care. Highly recomended!

I should say that I have neither stayed nor eaten at this hotel. However, on a brief trip to Sille, we knocked on the door of this hotel as we had been told by our guide that the building had been superbly restored with careful attention paid to original features wherever possible. Much of the wood used was cedar which gave off a warm and comforting smell. There were bedrooms furnished without cedar for those who were not so keen on the aroma. There was underfloor heating throughout. The hotel was closed as it was not yet lunchtime but the owner invited us in and willingly gave us an informative tour. It was clear that much love and attention to detail had been paid in the restoration and we could only surmise that the same would apply to the comfort of guests in the attractive bedrooms and dining room – and that they would receive the same genuine and friendly welcome that we had. If I get the chance to return to this fascinating area of Turkey, I shall certainly book in to this hotel.

We had a wonderful evening at sillehan hotel. We were in a short break to Konya and we thought to spend an evening in Sille a friend took us in his own car to Sille and there we had few hours to spend and we had s short tea break at sillehan hotel and this short break made us to take the decision to decide to come one day to Sille to spend few days in this amazing hotel. The owners were very generous to show us there place and even to allow us to see the rooms. It is a magnificent place.

That is a very great hotel in Konya,
Located in a small town, great view and nature,
The whole building keep traditional Turkey style, very clean and good feeling!
and their restaurant just next to hotel, as nature style! and delicious. I will stay here again next time.

Four of us have just spent one night at this hotel in the pretty village of Sille just north of Konya. Very personal, very traditional, very comfortable. We loved it. It may not be to everyones taste as no alcohol is available. One of our party had a birthday so it was odd for us not to celebrate with a drink. There are great views of ancient rock dwellings opposite the hotel and a mosque and minaret also … but that does mean the sound of the muezzin early in the morning. However, for me that just adds to the atmosphere.

A wonderful stay in a beautifully restored hotel. The hotel has been tastefully restored to a high standard, with lots of original features typical of Ottoman houses.
The rooms were individually and traditionally refurbished with obviously a lot of time having gone into the design and detail of getting it just right. Beds and bedding are very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms are modern and very clean.  The breakfast was excellent and typically Turkish (fresh bread, eggs, potato, cucumber, tomatoes, cheeses, meats, jams, cream, honey and tea). The owner is very kind and helpful, and very much involved in the day to day running of the hotel. This shows in the high standard of service provided here; it is also in contrast to many boutique hotels in Turkey where the owner is very often an absentee investor based in Istanbul or overseas. The village of Sille is quiet with a lot of things to see; both historical buildings (churches, mosques, hammams) as well as the natural landscape (hills, mountains and gorges). The belediye (council/local government) and local entrepreneurs seem to have invested heavily in getting local infrastructure up to scratch, with streets and civic amenities refurbished, and a decent offering of museums.
Overall, cannot recommend a better place to stay in Central Anatolia. Top marks.

After a few days in Konya and it was time for a change so we took a short taxi ride to Sille. This once deserted town has a huge history, many interesting old buildings in various stages of disrepair, an ancient Byzantine church whicch has recently been refurbished, caves in dwhich holy mystics once lived and an interesting landscapre. On walking around, i seemed that the geart of the town was gone. Many of the ancient houses were deserted and it seemed that in several millenia of existence, it had seen better days. Then we came across the Silehan Hotel and Restaurant. a beautifuly renovated old dwelling had been turned into a hotel and restarant. With flagged rock floors everywhere lots of cedar and beautiful views over the neaby mountains, it seemed ideal. we stayed for lunch on the upstairs terrace and ran into Habib, the owner. this motivated man has just spent ten yeaurs revivating the place perfectly. Its fabulous whether you go for a panoramic and deliciuous lunch or a romantic stay. It is especially interestuing when you know that this area was filled with Christians and many Greek families. These place stil has the feel of Greece right in the midst of Turkey, probably as it was a stop on the ancient Silk Route!

First of all I’d like to say that I’ve been living in Turkey for 7 years and Sillehan boutique hotel was the best hotel I’ve stayed at. First of all Sille is a nice little town worth spending a couple days in. If you want to be out in nature and enjoy what people lived like along the silk road this is the place for you. If you like trekking the landscape is like a small Cappadocia and there are enough site, shops and restaurant to spend a couple days. There is also a dam that will be opening with a beach and water sports. Enough about the town itself. Next I’d like to talk about the physical aspects of the hotel. What you see in the photos is what you get. A renovated hotel that is a part of a piece of history. Lovely rooms and terrace and a very comfortable bed. The food and breakfast are amazing! Lastly what made this place a 10/10 is the staff. The owner, Habib, speaks excellent English and he is very approachable. He is very well traveled and has great stories and a great philosophy on life. His staff are equally friendly. The chef and barista, Cafer, is a young guy but very polite and mature. He makes all kinds of excellent coffee and makes the tea and Turkish coffee to perfection. The receptionist, Yasin, also speaks English and will do everything to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Don’t miss your chance to come to this historical city you will not be disappointed and definitely stay and eat at Sillehan hotel. The breakfast you have here will be one of the best you’ve ever had and the atmosphere and people will make it more enjoyable. I was so impressed that I would make a return visit here.

This is a beautifully restored building in a picturesque town. The location is perfect for wandering around and Konya is a short drive. Everyone was eager and helpful. The hosts were generous and thoughtful and the breakfasts tremendous.

Nice authentic old ottoman house in pretty area. Friendly staff. No dinner available on the evening we went and thin curtains meant the light was bright.

Sille village is a beautiful place and the best thing about Konya . Our hosts at the hotel were super friends and made our stay super comfort. From arranging a taxi to take is around till amazing dinner. The ambience is very cozy and every detail is beautifully done .

Welcomed as family by owner Habib and wife to their labour of love. Tasteful and comfortable restoration. Great food and live music on the terrace convinced us to turn our one night stay to two nights. Easy bus trip into Konya made it an ideal location.

During our walk, we were approached by Habib, the owner of the Sillehan Boutique Hotel, who spoke to us in German and invited us into his hotel with the promise of a good coffee. He certainly didn’t exaggerate—we finally enjoyed a proper Italian coffee again...
On this occasion, Habib also showed us his hotel, which was tastefully and authentically furnished. The traditionally built house has been carefully renovated and equipped with suitable furniture. All rooms are very atmospheric, naturally with private bathrooms and very clean.
It became clear which positive traits Habib brought back from his time in Germany: precision and a sense of order. Here, the owner still has time for his guests. We felt very well taken care of and decided to have dinner at the hotel as well.
We can only speak positively about that too—everything tasted excellent and the staff was very attentive.
Habib also helped us with our return travel issue and made several calls to various travel agencies on our behalf.
The breakfast the next morning was once again outstanding. Habib called again for us and handed us his business card, offering to help as a translator in the future if we ever needed.
Truly wonderful—highly recommended, especially thanks to its peaceful location not far from bustling Konya.

I went there in April snowing. Food was incredibly delicious. As a couple, we loved the ambiance. Wonderful place to have a romantic meal. They serve fast and waiters were very kind. Free Turkish coffee. Definitely drop by when in Sille.

After doing the tourist bit, we decided to explore Turkey as it is. We came upon this idyllic small hotel in Sille just north of Konya. Surrounded by lovely authentic surroundings, this hotel could not have been better. Very attentive owner and staff, we had a traditional meal in the evening, which was beautifully presented and delicious. Great rooms, spacious and traditional. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a delight. If you find yourselves in this part of the world a must see. The village is at the moment unspoilt and full of history. Fantastic

Owner of restaurant Habib welcome personally to customers and food was excellent. Seating arrangement is really good and comfortable. Hotel rooms decorated old style but everything is available in rooms and service was excelent. Building is historical and owner Habib maintain very well. Owner of restaurant can speak English and it help me a lot. If you visit Konya, Turkey I highly recommend to visit this hotel and restaurant.

Superb architecture and decoration. Very good food prepared by a great chef. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We originally planned to just pass through Sille, but this place made us stay for two days. It’s a very peaceful place and we felt very comfortable here. We leave on our bicycles feeling very happy. We will surely remember that fireplace during the coming winter. Thank you very much for your hospitality and kindness. Maybe we’ll come back in a few years. We wish you all the best.
