Pisidia Antiocheia Ancient City
The ancient city of Antioch in Pisidia is located in the Lakes Region, where the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Central Anatolian regions intersect, approximately 1 kilometer northeast of the Yalvaç district of Isparta province. The city is built on sloping and partially rocky terrain. The city's main entrance is to the west. To the north of the city are ruins of structures such as aqueducts, a nympheum, a bathhouse, and a palestra. The center includes the theater, the Tiberius Square, the Propylon, and the Temple of Augustus. The places where St. Paul visited and spread Christianity are considered pilgrimage centers. Therefore, the Church of St. Paul in Antioch in Pisidia is one of these centers. (Source: Isparta Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism)
