Located in the heart of Sille, Konya’s fairytale-like historic village, and situated on the ancient Silk Road, King’s Road, and Jerusalem Pilgrimage Route, Sillehan Boutique Hotel was brought to life through the careful restoration of a 450-year-old Ottoman mansion. In our hotel, where tradition meets comfort, we offer our guests a peaceful and healthy stay amid the enchanting scent of cedar and pine wood, fresh mountain breezes and crisp, oxygen-rich air.
The Meaning of the Word "Han"
and The Names of Our Rooms
In Turkish, the word "Han" not only refers to a ruler or head of state, but also to caravanserais where travelers stayed, buildings used by merchants, and even objects like food trays or restaurants. While designing Sillehan, we were inspired by the word’s historical connotation related to accommodation. Therefore, we decided to name the rooms in our hotel after founders of important states throughout the 16,000-year Turkish history. In doing so, we aimed to symbolically keep the memory of these great historical figures alive. The flags and emblems of these rulers displayed on our room doors serve as a historical detail that fascinates our guests.
Sille Village
Located 8 km northwest of Konya, Sille has a historical heritage of thousands of years. The oldest known traces of settlement in Sille are the remains of the Phrygian civilization, dated to the 8th and 7th centuries BC, unearthed during excavations at the Sızma Mound in the north.
